Not sure why cNet is so intrigued by the Classic; it was definitely notable for being the first sub-$1000 computer for Apple but it was pretty non-revolutionary beyond that.
Its also hard to understand why they would refer to it as a "dinosaur"; a Classic would still look reasonably cool on someone's desk even today in a retro sense and could be very functional as well for a number of simpler tasks.
The original floppy-only Mac might possibly fit into that category. Might.
