One point I forgot to add was that since iTunes can ONLY be accessed through WiFi on the iPhone ... if you are not near a WiFi hotspot - you can't access iTunes. I imagine the same will be true for accessing the iTunes App Store come this June. My solution not only gives you a 3G workaround for the iPhone but ALSO gets you 100% acesss at ANY time to the iTunes Music Store.

Actually, the App Store will work over EDGE as well as WiFi.
Tom ...
Can you tell me where you found that?
If true ... it will be more pleasurable with my solution. Right now, the iTunes Music Store App on the iPhone is WiFi only.
Applications can use the EDGE network if determined by Apple that they do not soak excessive bandwidth.
Tom, I'm interested if you are misinterpretting this or where you found that the iPhone will work with the App Store come June. If accurate, there should be no reason Apple and AT&T won't allow full iTunes access via the iPhone.
Watch the video I guess. I watched it and my recollection is that the App store works over EDGE and WiFi.
I have watched it several times and got that apps can be used over EDGE but not accessed for download via EDGE because it will involve connecting to the iTunes Music Store
In the podcast version of the even at around 1:05 Steve says "...I tap the install button and the app is wirelessly downloaded to the iphone using cell network or wi-fi."
Watch at 1:05:01 Steve Jobs says
"And I tap the install button. And the App is wirelessly downloaded to the iPhone using the cell network or wifi."
thank you ... I was just hearing wifi
