I took this picture over the weekend at my local flea market. A guy was selling over-run and misprint hats and shirts.
A reader was able to point out that this isn't a misprint like I originally thought. Instead they indicated that this is an actual car dealership in Texas. That's what I get for not Googling the minor stuff.

While it could be a misspelling, "appel" is sometimes used in the German language for "apple" ( as well as "apfel").
One of my favourite drinks used to be Berentzen Apfelkorn - still have the occasional tipple, especially since finding a winter version...Berentzen Winter Apfel.
Ap(ple)ologies if you already knew that....
It is a misprint - I suppose I should go take a pic of the actual Apple Dodge place near here. But I didn't know that - so ... thanks for edumacating me.
Hate to say this - but I don't think it is a misprint.
I thought the name Appel looked familiar in respect to the auto trade....

Very interesting ... we have an Apple Dodge around here and the seller told me all the hats were over-runs and misprints.
We may both be right. I know I am right that we DO have an Apple Dodge 'round here. That dealership is in Texas and I am in South Carolina.
Either way ... thanks for pointing that out.
