The benefits of blogging for one’s career or business are so profound ...

From DASHES.COM:

Anil Dash states:

My initial temptation was to mark Lyons as a hypocrite. Upon reflection, it seems there’s a more profound lesson: The benefits of blogging for one’s career or business are so profound that they were even able to persuade a dedicated detractor.

In this case - it has most likely MADE Dan Lyons career.

Good article by Anil (he must have really, really, REALLY hated Lyons' article). :)

I appreciate that he was able to understand that opinions can change. Further, the FSJ blog was not in line with the kind of anonymous posting the article railed against anyway. I also appreciate that he fought the temptation to simply drag out the overused epithet "hypocrite" and be done with it.

Graceful Flavor published a more positive outlook on FSJ, and Daring Fireball wrote a nice one today.

Given the above, I posted an update to the bottom of my original post:

Fake Steve Jobs is unmasked: The reaction so far is a bit depressing.
