I say surfaced, because it isn't really for auction. The "seller" is trying to auction a high resolution image that he claims to have created of the iPod Video.
First, I think this falls under the "intangible items" clause for things you can't sell on eBay.
Second, I doubt this author actually created this image.
Third, this image can be found on just about every Tech News & Apple rumor site out there ... so you'd have to be an idiot to bid.
Here is "the seller's"full description:

The seller's eBay ID is listed as bioscar
Hard to know whether that means: BI-OSCAR ... BIO-SCAR...BIOS-CAR...or ...B-I-OSCAR
The watermark on the image is bioscar.com.
Looking up the WHOIS information for BIOSCAR.COM yields false/dummy information. (which is against ICANN rules)
From The ICANN website:
Information and Its Use.You hereby acknowledge and agree that, in connection with your use of Domain Registry Services you are required to provide certain information and to promptly correct and update this information as needed to keep it current, complete and accurate.
Rumor sites should find the IP address of the seller and never accept "news/rumors" from this guy again if he is the author of the image. But for some reason ... I think this "artist" is a thief.

As if Apple would use a black power cable...
exactly, even in a prototype ...
If he were trying to make a real prototype and offer it for sale he could have also made the transparent screen clickwheel like some other sites have had

Just exactly how do you run out of electronic images?
Well ... the real issue isn't the power supply being black ... it's that it wouldn't have that kind of power supply at all ...
It would be powered and charged by the dock connector as 3rd - 5th Gen iPods have for 3 years now
Exactly ... how do you run out of emailed images?
